Popular Nigerian artist Seun Kuti, the last child of the late Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, has responded to Korra Obidi Twerk’s homage on his father’s tomb.

Korra visited Fela’s grave and gave a twerking tribute in his honor during her weekend visit to Nigeria.

Korra posted the video to her Instagram page and wrote, “I gave baba an offering. We visited the grave site of Anikulapo Kuti today, and we all know that one thing Fela loved was a woman with Gyrating hips. So I decided to twerk for baba”.

Seun Kuti responded to the dance by praising Korra’s gesture, stating that it was consistent with Fela’s lively way of life and cultural influence.

“You guys know what baba likes but you will never give him what he wants. E go better for you my sister”.

On social media, the development has generated conflicting responses, with some claiming that Korra’s performance went too far.
