Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has spoken about an unusual incident he claimed occurred after he won the governorship election, involving a vulture he said was found dead on his bed.
The governor, while speaking to members of a church, also alleged that another bird died in his office after he directed the demolition of the Black House in Sapele.
Okpebholo explained that following his election victory, he returned home exhausted after spending several days without sleep. He said he was about to jump onto his bed when something suddenly stopped him.
He said “When I won election, we went to the house. I was tired. I had not slept for days and I wanted to jump into the bed, something held me back.
“I looked on the bed and I saw a vulture on my bed, dead.”
The governor interpreted the incident as a symbol of victory, suggesting that it had a spiritual significance.
