27-year-old Nigerian woman killed in Italy bu hungry dogs

Patricia Masithela, a 27-year-old Nigerian-Italian lady, was mauled to death by four or five dogs in a friend’s house on the outskirts of Latina, which is south of Rome.

The tragedy happened on Monday, January 13, 2025, according to AnsaEnglish.

It was learnt that last week the house’s owner and another woman were assaulted by the same group of dogs.

Patricia’s frantic screams were heard by several neighbours, who called the police.

Around three in the morning, police officers from the Latina police station arrived on the scene of the incident and tried to frighten the dogs away with a gunshot.

While one of the dogs was hurt, the other was killed. The others fled.

After being taken by ambulance to the nearby Santa Maria Goretti hospital, the woman passed away a few hours later as a result of her severe injuries.

At the time of the attack, the woman’s friend wasn’t home.

To determine culpability and elucidate the specifics of what transpired, investigations are in progress.
