Abaribe explains why he joined Peter Obi to ADC

Eyinnaya Abaribe, Senator for Abia South, has defected from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Abaribe made the news on Wednesday in Enugu, just after former Labour Party presidential contender for the 2023 general elections, Mr Peter Obi, officially joined the ADC.

Abaribe joined APGA in 2023, after abandoning his old party to run for the Abia South senatorial seat.

The congressman reaffirmed his full support for the ADC, citing Obi as his political leader.

“Let me also announce that I have resigned from the All-Progressive Grand Alliance.

“So as of now, I am fully in ADC. Following my brother and our leader, Mr Peter Obi, I wish all of us well, and I know that we’re going to get there,” Abaribe said.
