ADC distances self from statement on Palestine

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has denied releasing a statement about the situation in Palestine that was attributed to the party.

In a tweet on his official X Twitter on Friday, Bolaji Abdullahi, the National Chairman of the ADC, provided clarification on the issue.

“The attention of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has been drawn to a story in circulation which may be construed as the party’s position on the issue of Palestine,” Abdullahi wrote.

He emphasized that the statement in circulation does not reflect the party’s position.

“We would like to clarify that this statement does not reflect the views of the ADC on the general situation in Palestine or on the Federal Government of Nigeria’s position on the matter as expressed at the ongoing #UNGA80 in New York, USA,” he added.
