AFCON 2023: Obi Cubana reacts to the victory of Super Eagles

In addition to congratulating Nigerians, businessman Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, they insisted that the Super Eagles would win the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

He talked with NAN in Abidjan, the capital of Cote d’Ivoire, following Nigeria’s 1-0 victory against Angola in the AFCON quarterfinal on Friday.

Attending the Super Eagles’ victory over Angola at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan, Obi Cubana stated: “You know we are lifting the cup; that is why we are here; we are here to lift the spirit. I’m so proud; they [Super Eagles] keep getting better game by game.

“I am happy because, in the same spirit of unification, we will lift this cup to make Nigeria proud.

“Who else is playing in this competition? We can’t go home without winning this cup; congratulations to Nigerians.”

In the competition’s semi-final on Wednesday in Bouake, Nigeria will now take on the winner of the clash between Cape Verde and South Africa.
