AFCON: Odegbami predicts Super Eagles game against Guinea-Bissau

The final group match for Nigeria’s national team at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, according to football icon Segun Odegbami, will be “a difficult game.”

On Monday night, the Super Eagles take against Guinea-Bissau to win Group A.

After a 1-0 win over Ivory Coast and a 1-1 tie with Equatorial Guinea, the three-time African champions are now down to four points.

On Sunday, Odegbami visited the team’s camp to encourage the youngsters and provide his support.

“I’m here to encourage you and to wish you well because the game against Guinea-Bissau is going to be a tough match.

“It’s going to be a difficult match because that’s how it is in our tradition. When we win a match, and we feel the next one will be easy, that’s when it will be difficult.

“So I don’t expect an easy match, but calmly do the things you know how to do best under any circumstances. You will win, and we will be with you here till the end,” the 1980 AFCON winner told the players.
