Ace Grammy-winning singer Wizkid is the best Afrobeats musician since the late pioneer Fela Kuti, according to Nigerian rapper Olamide.

At a recent press conference in Canada, Baddo, as he is affectionately known, made the assertion while enjoying his numerous partnerships with Wizkid.

“I am blessed to have collaborated with Wizkid on multiple occasions. You know Wizkid is the greatest Afrobeats artist ever after Fela,” he expressed.

Olamide emphasized that his partnership with Wizkid was more about their musical harmony than it was about leverage.

Olamide’s audacious claim that Wizkid is the best Afrobeats musician since Fela has provoked discussion on social media.

After Fela, Burna Boy, another Nigerian artist, recently proclaimed himself to be the best in Africa.

Davido has also called himself the “King of Afrobeats” on multiple occasions.

Since Olamide’s proclamation, fans of Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy have been arguing over who is the best Afrobeats artist.
