Kodak Black, a well-known American rapper, has denied reports that he converted to Islam.

A picture of the 27-year-old squatting on what seems to be a salat mat went viral, sparking rumors that he has converted to Islam.

Black responded to the rumors on his social media page by stating that he is Jewish and that he did not convert to Islam.

“No disrespect to the Muslim community but I am Hebrew Israelite,” he wrote.
