American rapper Lil Nas X was taken into custody by Los Angeles police on Thursday after being spotted walking along Ventura Boulevard dressed only in underwear and cowboy boots.

Authorities stated they received a call around 5:30 a.m. reporting a “half-naked man causing a scene” in the area. The individual was later identified as the chart-topping artist behind “Old Town Road.”

According to the LAPD, the 26-year-old musician allegedly “charged” at responding officers, prompting his arrest on suspicion of battery.

Police also noted that he was later transported to a hospital due to concerns about a possible drug overdose.

A video clip shared by TMZ that has since gone viral shows the Grammy-winning star moving erratically in the street, shouting at passersby to “come to the party.”
