AMVCA 2025: Why I didn’t win best dressed – Uriel Oputa

Big Brother Naija alumna, Uriel Oputa, has shared her thoughts on why she didn’t take home the Best Dressed title at the 11th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).

According to reports, BBNaija star Liquorose Afije won the Best Dressed Female award at the 2025 AMVCA, while Prince Nelson, known for his work as an actor and television host, earned the Best Dressed Male title.

Both recipients received a cash prize of N1 million each.

Reacting via an Instagram post on Saturday night, Uriel explained that her late arrival at the event likely cost her the award.

While insisting that her outfit was elegant, she wrote; “This is not to knock anyone’s design. Everyone looked stunning.

“But let be honest, the only reason I didn’t win best dressed is because I was not there on time. Nobody can tell me my dress didn’t eat”.

The 2025 AMVCA ceremony, held on Saturday, May 10, was a glamorous event attended by numerous BBNaija alumni, A-list entertainers, and notable public figures.
