Another Chelsea player refuses to rule out leaving club for Real Madrid after Fernandez’s ban

Moises Caicedo has emerged as the second Chelsea player to hint at the possibility of a future transfer to Real Madrid.

The Ecuadorian international emphasized that he is currently not contemplating a departure from London, but he did not entirely rule out a future transfer to the Los Blancos.

This follows Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior’s decision to impose a two-match ban on Enzo Fernandez for expressing his desire to live in Madrid.

Upon being questioned about the possibility of playing for Real Madrid, Caicedo smiled and said to AS: “You never know in football, don’t you think?

“I have a contract with Chelsea now. The truth is, I haven’t honestly thought about another club, about leaving London, but well, in the end, you never know in football.

“All I want is to enjoy myself. I have a contract, and I want to keep playing as long as God allows.

“After that, we will see what happens. We will see what the future holds. Let’s see what surprises await us.”

In 2023, Caicedo transferred from Brighton, a Premier League club, to Chelsea. His existing contract runs until 2033.

In the meantime, ex-Chelsea midfielder Emmanuel Petit identified Caicedo as one of three Blues players who might depart the club during the summer transfer window.
