APC defeats PDP in Zamfara bye-election

The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate Kamilu Sa’idu Wanban Kasuwar Daji has been proclaimed the victor of the supplementary election for the Kaura Namoda South State Constituency in Zamfara State by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The APC candidate received 8,182 votes, defeating his nearest opponent from the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, who received 5,543 votes, according to the results, which were announced by the Returning Officer, Professor Lawal Sa’ad of the Federal University Gusau.

According to him, Kamilu Sa’idu was duly declared the winner and re-elected after meeting all legal standards and receiving the most votes.
