Shehu Sani, a former senator representing Kaduna Central, stated that Iran does not threaten the United States (US).

Sani commented on this while condemning what he termed as unwarranted hostility directed at the Iranian nation.

He characterized unilateral military actions that circumvent the United Nations and breach international law as hazardous, cautioning that these actions could lead the world onto a dangerous course.

Sani emphasized in a post on X that depending on military power beyond established global frameworks weakens international stability.

The ex-parliamentarian also targeted those who advocate for war or endorse it, pointing out that a significant number of these individuals are not directly acquainted with the truths of warfare.

In his view, those who applaud military action often have relatives who are far from the battlefield and out of harm’s way.

Sani urged people to reflect on the privileges of daily life, emphasizing the importance of peace.

He stated that those who can drop their kids off at school, commute to work, or start their businesses without fear should feel thankful. He stressed that this kind of normalcy highlights the genuine significance of peace in contrast to the destruction brought by war.

Sani wrote: “The Nation of Iran doesn’t pose a threat or danger to the US.The act of aggression is unnecessary and unfortunate.

“Unilateral actions based on military might that circumvent the UN and violate international law sets the world on a dangerous path.

“Most of those supporting, encouraging and cheering wars are people whose children, wives or parents are far from the theatre of war.

“If you can drop off your kids in school this morning, go to work or school or open your shop this morning without thanking your God,you don’t know what wars or peace means.”
