Iran: ‘Several’ US warplanes crash in Kuwait

The Ministry of Defence in Kuwait has reported that multiple military aircraft from the United States crashed in the country on Monday.

A post on X by the Kuwait News Agency, citing a statement from the Defence Ministry, revealed the development.

The statement indicates that all crew members on the aircraft survived the incident and that Kuwaiti authorities are aiding in rescue and response efforts.

“Ministry of Defense announces that several #US military aircraft crashed earlier in the day, confirming that all crew members survived the incident,” the post stated.

The precise number of aircraft involved and the reasons for the crashes were not immediately revealed.

The incident occurred a day after Iran allegedly attacked a US military base in Kuwait as revenge for joint airstrikes by Israel and the United States on Iranian targets.

Other nations reportedly impacted by Iranian missile strikes aimed at US bases and installations in the area include Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
