Ballon d’Or organizers announce new rule for winner

The Ballon d’Or award administrators, France Football, plan to introduce a new regulation starting this year.

There have been rumors on who will win the prize circulated in the more than two weeks remaining before the ceremony on October 28.

It is generally predicted that Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid will be chosen the winner over players like Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, and Rodri.

Last season, Vinicius played a pivotal role in helping Los Blancos win both the LaLiga and Champions League crowns.

However, as has always been the custom, The Athletic journalist Mario Cortegana reports that the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner would not be interviewed by France Football prior to the ceremony.

According to Cortegana, the winner will be aware of his victory when the envelope is opened during the live ceremony.
