Cone Health, a leading healthcare provider in Greensboro, North Carolina, has announced a transformative $7.5 million gift from Steve and Jackie Bell and the Bell Foundation. This generous donation, the largest in Cone Health’s history, will establish an endowed chair in cardiovascular research and support the Cone Health Heart and Vascular Prevention program.
The funding is part of the Campaign for Healthy Communities, a comprehensive initiative aimed at improving the overall health and well-being of the region. The campaign focuses on enhancing various healthcare services, including advanced heart care, expanded cancer services, and ensuring access to medical care for all residents.
Steve Bell emphasized the importance of investing in the community’s health and well-being, saying, “Jackie and I believe that good schools, a strong regional health system, and a robust airport are critical for any community.” He added, “The Piedmont Triad is poised for growth like we haven’t seen in the last two decades. As the region grows, Cone Health is expanding to meet the needs of our community, with a focus on keeping people well and a commitment to provide the right care in the right setting at the right time.”
This significant gift from the Bell Foundation will have a lasting impact on Cone Health’s ability to provide exceptional healthcare services to the community.
