The Taco Bell Foundation has announced $28 million in grants to nearly 500 nonprofit organisations across the United States, aimed at removing barriers to education and supporting youth development. The grants, awarded through the foundation’s Community Grants programme, will fund initiatives such as workforce development, academic mentorship, and college readiness.

The funding is made possible through the company’s Round Up programme, which raised over $50 million in 2024, representing a 56% increase since 2022. According to Taco Bell Foundation executive director Lisa Lane Cardin, “We believe that empowering young people is one of the most meaningful ways we can invest in the future.

Cardin expressed her enthusiasm for the partnerships, saying, “It’s an honour to partner with these 500 nonprofit partners as they create real, lasting impact in the communities our fans, team members, and franchisees call home.” She added that the record investment demonstrates the power of community-driven change and the potential that exists when barriers are removed and doors are opened.

The grants will support a range of initiatives, including workforce development, academic mentorship, and college readiness, with the goal of empowering young people and helping them achieve their full potential. New partners this year include Notes for Notes, the California Restaurant Foundation, and Braven.
