Bode George exposes APC in the highest level

Bode George, the former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has claimed that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) lacks a genuine political structure, describing it as a one-man operation.

George made this statement on Wednesday during an appearance on Channels Television’s Morning Brief, while discussing the potential rise of a third political force, such as the Social Democratic Party (SDP), ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“The APC has no structure; it’s just a one-man show,” he remarked.

The elder statesman stressed that any viable political alternative should prioritize the people over personal ambitions.

“What should come first is the people then our attitude in managing the resources of this country for the benefit of the people. Individualism can never solve this. Personal ambition is a very dangerous, stupid approach to problem-solving.

“You must give in to something and allow the freshness in the minds of the people of this country. Governance is about them; power should be from them,” he said.

He also spoke about the internal crisis within the PDP, expressing confidence that the party’s issues would be resolved at its upcoming National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.

“This thing started like a little sore; now it’s almost like a cancer that spreads. It began with the inordinate ambition of individuals it didn’t just start yesterday.

“The PDP has a system by which we resolve our problems. The day we have the next NEC meeting, we’ll resolve them. So many people have been interpreting the position, laws, and constitution of the party to suit themselves,” he added.

The elder statesman noted that the meeting would offer an opportunity for sincere discussions. “I believe that when we meet, we will argue, talk, and debate,” he said.

He emphasized that the party was aware of those causing discord and must take firm action, cautioning that if the PDP fails to address its issues at the upcoming NEC meeting, it could signal the party’s end.
