Sen. Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu, the troubled National Secretary of the People Democratic Party (PDP), has refuted the rumor that he is considering leaving the party, calling it unfounded and unjustified.

PDP members were reassured by Anyanwu that he would stay in the party even if everyone left.

During the New Year’s Special Stakeholders meeting at the party’s secretariat in Owerri, the former Federal Lawmaker made the statement while speaking to party members.

Declaring that he is still in the PDP and will stay there till the party’s mandate is fulfilled, he advised party members not to let anyone trick, confuse, or mislead them.

Anyanwu implied that neither the APP nor the ADC will ever win a state or national election in Nigeria.

“Anyone deceiving you or spreading the falsehood that PDP is dead is only suffering from schizophrenia. It’s only in PDP that you can find matured party members, our party is like the old NPP which regarded human beings. Those who claim to be members and leaders of ruling party are finding it difficult to feed, but in PDP, we are feeding well even when we are not in power” he said.

The former lawmaker gave gift items worth over to the party members, stakeholders, ward, LGA, and State Exco in recognition of their commitment.

Anyanwu also expressed happiness that party members in Imo State remained committed and unwavering in their support of the PDP, even in the face of small internal disputes that nearly derailed the party’s vision a few months ago.

He emphasized that everyone must work together to create a strong and competitive political party in the state.

The former lawmaker stated unequivocally that those organizing a gang against the PDP in the State and Nigeria lack the necessary skills to defeat the party in any election.

He urged party leaders, important stakeholders, and members from all 305 of the State’s wards to continue working for the party despite being discouraged or distracted by the political antics of unstable politicians.

The party’s 27 LGA Chairmen, women’s leaders, youth leaders, the State Working Committee, Southeast leaders, former LGA Chairmanship candidates, stakeholders, important leaders, and special citizens were among those present.
