BREAKING: Ex-Adamawa APC guber candidate Binani dumps party, defects to ADC

Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani, a former candidate for governor of Adamawa, has left the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a video that has gone viral, Senator Binani said that she has joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which is supported by the coalition.

She openly declared her loyalty to the opposition party as she addressed her supporters while brandishing the ADC flag.

“We have embraced the ADC, and we’re ready to move forward under its banner,” Binani said during the address.

“We ask God to separate us from those who are corrupting the party while pretending to walk with us.”

In 2023, Binani ran for governor under the ruling APC. In one of Nigeria’s most spectacular elections that year, she presented a serious challenge to incumbent Ahmadu Fintiri of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
