Alhaji Umar Farouk Umar, the Emir of Daura, has stated that he supports President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s choice to run for reelection in 2027.

During First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s condolence visit to the family of the late President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State, on Saturday, he publicly expressed his solidarity.

A delegation organized by Senator Oluremi Tinubu included the spouses of important political officials, such as the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Senate President, governors, ministers, and military chiefs.

Sincere condolences were sent by the entourage to Hajiya Aisha Buhari and the whole Buhari family.

Emir Farouk welcomed the group to his palace and honored the late Buhari’s patriotism and statesmanship.

In a daring political statement, the Emir affirmed Daura’s allegiance and political alignment by using the opportunity to fully support President Tinubu’s leadership.

“President Bola Tinubu remains our choice for 2027,” the monarch declared.

“We stand firmly with him and will continue to support his administration as it strives to deliver on its mandate to the Nigerian people.”

In her speech, Senator Tinubu praised Buhari’s record of moral rectitude, selflessness, and public service.

According to her, Nigerians would never forget his legacy.
