BREAKING: Nigerian govt issues travel alert for citizens planning to visit UK

The Nigerian government on Monday issued a travel advisory to its nationals who were considering a trip to the United Kingdom.

The alert, which was signed by the spokesperson for the Minister of Interior, Amb. Eche Abu-Obe, stated that “There is an increased risk of violence and disorder occasioned by the recent riots in the UK”

It adviced Nigerians to “be extra vigilant and take measures.”

These precautions include staying away from political processions, protests, rallies, and marches, as well as avoiding crowded areas and large gatherings.
