Zimbabwean netizens are outraged after a young man was caught on camera attacking a young girl who had turned down his plea for a sexual relationship.

The distressing video, which has been widely circulated on social media, has sparked a national outcry, with many people demanding immediate police action and justice for the victims.

In the viral footage, the young male is seen confronting the girl in what looks to be a public setting, possibly inside or near a school or college property.

The girl attempts to flee the argument, but the man pursues her.

He is heard using aggressive and disrespectful words, accusing her of disrespect, and constantly requesting that she accept to date him.

Moments later, the situation becomes violent.

Despite the girl’s attempts to defend herself and flee, the young man begins slapping her many times.

The girl looked terrified and overwhelmed, while the perpetrator continues to shout.

Some people around are seen watching the situation happen, but there is no instant intervention in the footage, which has enraged viewers online.

After the video became viral on platforms such as Facebook, X, and WhatsApp, Zimbabwean netizens strongly denounced the incident.

Many people saw the incident as a clear example of gender-based violence and abuse of power.

Social media users questioned how a simple rejection could result in such violence, noting that no one is entitled to a relationship.

Women’s rights groups and youth activists have also spoken out, pushing authorities to take the situation seriously.

They emphasized that consent is a fundamental human right and that coercing someone into a relationship with threats or violence is a criminal offense.

Some advocates urged schools and colleges to implement better programs that teach young people about respect, limits, and healthy relationships.

Parents and guardians are concerned about the safety of young girls, particularly students, and believe the incidence symbolizes a larger societal issue.

Many people have expressed concern that if such action is not penalized, it may encourage others to follow suit.
