The UEFA Champions League knockout phase play-off draw for this season was held on Friday.

After the league phase concluded, eight teams advanced directly to the round of 16.

These include Aston Villa, Bayer Leverkusen, Barcelona, Arsenal, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, and Lille.

Some of them have more football to play until March, when they will all rejoin the competition.

In February, the teams who placed ninth through twenty-fourth will have to traverse a two-leg playoff.
