CAF announces kick-off date for AFCON 2025 qualifiers

The start date of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers has been confirmed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The first round is scheduled for March 18, 2024, to March 26, 2024.

September 2–10, 2024 is when the first and second round matches are planned to take place.

The games for the third and fourth rounds will happen between September 7 and September 15, 2024.

The qualifiers’ final stages are scheduled for November 11–19, 2024.

Guinea lost its chance to host the 2025 AFCON; instead, Morocco will take over as host nation.
