AFCON 2025: Preliminary round draw out [Full Fixtures]

The preliminary draw for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations has been made public by the Confederation of African Football, CAF.

The draw was held on Tuesday at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.

The preliminary round included the eight teams that finished worst in the FIFA rankings.

Here is the preliminary draw:
First leg:
Somalia vs Eswatini
Sao Tome vs South Sudan
Chad vs Mauritius
Djibouti vs Liberia

Second leg:
Eswatini vs Somalia
South Sudan vs Sao Tome
Mauritius vs Chad
Liberia vs Djibouti

The games are scheduled to occur on March 20, 2024, at home and away.

For the group stage, the 44 exempted teams will be joined by the four winners of the preliminary round.

Nonetheless, 24 countries will compete in the Morocco-hosted AFCON 2025 championships.
