The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has added two more individuals to its wanted list over an alleged cryptocurrency scam tied to the now-defunct digital trading platform known as Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX).
According to a public notice shared by the commission on Wednesday through its verified social media handles, the newly identified suspects are Folashade Odelana and Bamidele Ayodele Abiodun, aged 31 and 32 respectively.
Both individuals are accused of playing key roles in a fraudulent scheme on the platform, which allegedly caused significant financial losses to numerous unsuspecting investors.
Authorities listed their last known residence as No. 17, Oremeta Street, Allen, Ikeja, Lagos State.
“The public is hereby notified that the persons whose photographs appear below are wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for fraud allegedly perpetrated on an online trading platform called Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX),” the statement read.
The commission urged anyone with useful information about the whereabouts of the suspects to reach out to its offices located in Ibadan, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt, or Abuja.
The public may also contact the agency through its official phone lines, email at info@efccnigeria.org, or report to the nearest police station or other security agencies.
With this update, the number of people declared wanted in relation to the CBEX case now stands at 12.
Back in April 2025, users of CBEX experienced widespread panic after suddenly losing access to their accounts and being unable to withdraw their funds from the platform.
The event reportedly impacted more than 600,000 Nigerians and resulted in financial losses estimated at over ₦1.3 trillion, based on claims from affected users.
The fallout triggered a wave of public outrage, as many of the victims demanded accountability and the return of their investments.
Before now, the EFCC had already listed eight individuals as wanted in the same investigation.
Those named include Adefowora Abiodun Olanipekun, Adefowora Oluwanisola, Emmanuel Uko, Seyi Oloyede, Johnson Okiroh Otieno, Israel Mbaluka, Joseph Michiro Kabera, and Serah Michiro. Arrest warrants have since been obtained for six of them: Olanipekun, Oluwanisola, Uko, Oloyede, Avwerosuo Otorudo, and Chukwuebuka Ehirim.
EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, has reassured the public that the agency is making significant strides in both its investigation and recovery operations.
