The Chinyere-Florence Emmanuel (CFE) Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting widows, children, and other vulnerable groups, has issued a heartfelt appeal for assistance to sustain its humanitarian outreach programs. Despite the challenges it faces, the foundation has continued to deliver food aid to marginalized groups in Imo State and surrounding communities.
The foundation’s founder, Chinyere Nnamezie, expressed her concerns about the sustainability of their programs, citing limited support from Nigerians, the rising cost of living, and lack of transparency among beneficiaries as major challenges. “Sustaining our programmes in Nigeria has been a challenge due to limited support from Nigerians,” she said. “The rising cost of living and lack of transparency among beneficiaries have further complicated our efforts
Since its inception, the CFE Foundation has made a significant impact on the lives of many, distributing rice, beans, and other essential items to widows and low-income families. During festive seasons, the foundation reaches out to over 1,000 widows per community. However, with the Christmas season approaching, the foundation’s plans to extend its reach to new communities may be constrained by a lack of funding.
Ms. Nnamezie is urging corporate bodies, philanthropists, and well-meaning individuals to intervene and support the foundation’s mission. “We need the support of corporate individuals and organisations to sustain our aims and objectives,” she said. “We believe that with the right support, we can continue to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those who need it most.”
The CFE Foundation remains committed to its mission of restoring hope and dignity to Nigeria’s most vulnerable, despite the challenges it faces. With the right support, the foundation is confident that it can continue to make a positive difference in the lives of those it serves
