Championship: Leicester City boss delighted with Ndidi’s return to action

Wilfred Ndidi’s return to the team has Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca ecstatic, according to ZINGTIE.

Ndidi played in his first game back for the Foxes in a 1-0 victory over Sunderland on Tuesday.

After 73 minutes, the 27-year-old replaced Yunus Akgun.

“I’m very happy. We need him, Wilf is so important to us so it’s good to have him back,” he told Leicester City’s website.

Due to a severe muscular injury, the Nigerian international was out of action for more than two months.

He was compelled to miss the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire due to the injury.

The expectation is that Ndidi’s comeback will strengthen Leicester City’s quest for Premier League promotion.
