Court grants Mohbad’s family permission to conduct second autopsy

Permission to do a second autopsy has been given to the family of the late singer Mohbad by the Ikorodu Magistrate’s Court in Lagos State.

According to ZINGTIE, the singer’s family was not happy with the preliminary autopsy results because they were considered inconclusive.

On September 12, 2023, the singer, 27, died in questionable circumstances. The next day, he was buried.

On September 21, 2023, in response to appeals from Nigerians seeking to know how he died, his body was dug up for an autopsy by the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, or LASUTH.

However, because the autopsy did not identify the cause of death, his family rejected the results.

Additionally, she begged the presiding magistrate of the coroner’s inquiry to see to it that an impartial toxicology report Is submitted to the court before the final report is submitted to the authorities.

On Wednesday, June 26, 2024, Mohad’s family and solicitors requested a second autopsy, and the Ikorodu magistrate court granted their request.
