According to Mohbad’s personal assistant Adeyemo Boluwatife, Joseph Aloba, the late singer’s father, insisted on his son’s prompt burial after collecting N2 million from Davido.

Adeyemo made this statement on Wednesday during his testimony at the coroner’s inquest in Ikorodu.

According to ZINGTIE, the Lagos State Government organised the inquest, which commenced on September 29, 2023, to determine what caused Mohbad’s death.

Under dubious circumstances, Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, and was buried the next day.

On September 21, 2023, his body was exhumed for an autopsy by the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, in response to nationwide calls for justice.

Adeyemo, Mohbad’s nephew, however, informed the Ikorodu magistrate court on Wednesday during the court session that Mohbad’s father insisted on burying him right away following his receipt of N2 million from Davido.

Adeyemo also stated that, after paying hospital costs and ambulance rental fees, he paid N1 million to Aloba and then provided the remaining money to Adura, Mohbad’s younger brother.

Adeyemo further disclosed, according to TheCable, that following the deceased’s death, detectives seized possession of his phone.
