Rabiu Kwankwaso, who was the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate in 2023, has stated he is not for sale following the departure of Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf from the party.
On Friday, Kwankwaso spoke to supporters and made this declaration right after Governor Yusuf left the NNPP.
On Friday, Yusuf officially left the NNPP, mentioning that ongoing internal crises and legal disputes have weakened the party’s national cohesion.
The leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement reacted by affirming his dedication to his political ideals and stating that he would not sacrifice his principles for personal gain.
The ex-governor of Kano state claimed that his enduring political battle had consistently been directed toward liberating the average Nigerian.
“I’m not for sale. Our political convictions keep me grounded. If I were in it for personal gain, I would have taken the easy route and you would be looking for me elsewhere, not in this place,” he said.
