Details of meeting between Elon Musk, Chinese Premier, Li Qiang emerge

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, was informed by Chinese Premier Li Qiang that foreign-funded businesses are welcome to enter the Chinese market.

Following an unexpected encounter with Musk, who also serves as the Executive Chairman of X, in Beijing on Sunday, China’s second-ranking official revealed this.

“China’s very large-scale market will always be open to foreign-funded firms.

“China will stick to its word and will continue working hard to expand market access and strengthen service guarantees,” said Li Qiang.

Musk stated that he was “honoured” to meet Li Qiang in a post on X.

“We have known each other for many years, since early Shanghai days,” Musk said.

Musk and Li Qiang will meet while Chinese automakers showcase their newest electric cars at the Beijing Motor Show from April 25 to May 5.
