Disgraceful – Ex-FIFA referee blasts Real Madrid’s Rudiger, urges Germany to act

Former FIFA referee, Thorsten Kinhofer, has condemned Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger for his actions during the Copa del Rey final.

As a reminder, Barcelona triumphed 3-2 over Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final in Sevilla, thanks to Jules Kounde’s goal in extra time.

After Kounde’s goal, tensions flared on the Real Madrid bench in the dying moments of the match.

Rudiger tried to confront referee De Burgos Bengoetxea and even threw an ice cube at him.

The German defender was subsequently shown a red card for his conduct.

Rudiger later issued an apology for his actions towards referee De Burgos Bengoetxea.

However, Kinhofer expressed his disapproval, calling Rudiger’s actions disgraceful and urging Germany’s national team to take disciplinary measures against the former Chelsea player.

He told German publication BILD: “Rudiger’s behaviour is a disgrace.
