El-Rufai explains why reelecting Tinubu in 2027 is impossible

In 2027, Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, has maintained that President Bola Tinubu cannot be reelected.

El-Rufai claimed that given Nigeria’s current political and economic circumstances, no one would support Tinubu in 2027.

An online user named @chude shared the footage of him speaking in an interview on the Social Democratic Party, SDP, and national updates.

According to El-Rufai: “Anybody that thinks it is possible for President Bola Tinubu to get re-elected is living in another country, not Nigeria. It is impossible for Bola Tinubu to get re-elected. I don’t see a pathway for him, no matter how disorganised the opposition is. Who will vote for him? But that’s my own opinion.”

This occurs after Tinubu was voted in with the support of the National Assembly, the All Progressives Congress, and the APC leadership.

Since Tinubu is the party’s only candidate, Senate President Godswill Akpabio had stated his certainty that Tinubu would be reelected.

Similarly, at the party’s meeting in Abuja, the APC governors had approved Tinubu as their presidential candidate.
