Following Nasir El-Rufai’s departure, Kola Ologbodiyan, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) immediate former national publicity secretary, has prophesied that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will implode.

According to ZINGTIE, El-Rufai left the APC for the Social Democratic Party (SDP) on Monday after criticizing both the party and the government of President Bola Tinubu.

In a statement declaring his resignation from the APC, El-Rufai claimed that the party had disdained its members and castrated its organs.

“There is no desire on the part of those who currently control and run the APC to acknowledge, much less address, the unhealthy situation of the party,” he said.

During an appearance on Arise Television’s “The Morning Show,” Ologbodiyan responded to El-Rufai’s departure by predicting that it will lead to a crisis inside the party.

As the PDP fights to end its ongoing crisis, Ologbodiyan called on the media to support opposition parties and warned against promoting a culture of silence.

The former PDP spokesperson stated that the party has not made a decision regarding the proposed alliance, but that it would join forces with other parties to bolster the opposition.
