Former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has stated that he would participate in the national convention of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in spirit.

El-Rufai made this comment while responding to questions from journalists after attending a hearing at the Kaduna State High Court regarding his case with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

When asked by a journalist, “How about the ADC convention tomorrow?” El-Rufai replied, “I will be there in spirit.”

ADC, which hosts a coalition of opposition leaders, is set to hold its convention in Abuja on Tuesday.

Although there was initial uncertainty about the venue, the party’s Press Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, confirmed to our correspondent that the event will take place at the Rainbow Event Centre, Area 11, Abuja.
