ADC: Bashir El-Rufai makes strong statement on coalition

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, offers a forum for a unified Nigeria, according to Bashir El-Rufai, son of former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai.

Bashir stated that the development was occurring for the first time in his life in a post on X on Thursday.

“I’m sensing a united Nigeria under the flag of the ADC. For the first time in my life as a Nigerian,” he said.

The declaration follows the formal adoption of ADC as the official political platform by the opposition coalition on Wednesday, which aims to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress, or APC, in the 2027 elections.

The ceremony was attended by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party, former Kaduna State Governor Malam Nasir El-Rufai, and former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, according to ZINGTIE.
