Elon Musk, the prominent tech entrepreneur, has announced the launch of a new political movement in the U.S. known as the ‘America Party’.

The announcement came on Saturday, just a day after he conducted a poll on X, asking his followers whether there was a need for a new political party.

This move follows a breakdown in Musk’s relationship with former political associate, President Donald Trump.

Musk, who has openly criticized Trump’s leadership since his departure from office, had previously served as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency.

Recently, he voiced strong opposition to Trump’s proposed legislation, which he referred to as the “Big, Beautiful Bill,” describing it as reckless government spending.

In a post shared on X, Musk warned that if the bill were to pass, the America Party would be officially launched the following day.
