Elon Musk, the US billionaire and head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has revealed the cancellation of an additional 47 inefficient contracts valued at $87.5 million.
DOGE made the announcement in a statement shared on its X account Thursday morning.
Among the contracts terminated is a $3.4 million consulting agreement with the State Department for aviation advisors in Kenya.
According to DOGE, these cancellations have led to a total savings of $30.2 million for the US government.
“Agencies cancelled 47 wasteful contracts today with $87.5M ceiling value and $30.2M in savings, including a $3.4M @StateDept management consulting contract for “aviation advisors in Kenya”, DOGE stated on X.
This is coming less than 24 hours after DOGE terminated 80 wasteful contracts worth $203.6m.
