Elon Musk reacts as Trump’s executive order establishes DOGE

Donald Trump, the 47th president of the United States, has issued an executive order establishing the Department of Government Efficiency.

A White House statement outlining the specifics of the presidential action on Tuesday verified this.

Thus, DOGE will “implement the President’s DOGE Agenda by modernizing federal technology and software to maximize governmental efficiency and productivity,” according to the executive order.

This indicates that US DOGE Service is the new moniker for the US Digital Service.

“Reorganisation and Renaming of the United States Digital Service. The United States Digital Service is hereby publicly renamed as the United States DOGE Service (USDS) and shall be established in the Executive Office of the President,” the statement reads in parts.

“There will be meaningful progress every week,” responded Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of X and Tesla and one of the heads of DOGE.
