Rivers: Fresh details emerge as Gov Fubara dissolves State Executive Council

The Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has disbanded the State Executive Council.

The dissolution, which was announced on Thursday, takes effect immediately.

All special advisers and commissioners have received orders to transfer responsibilities to the most senior officials in their ministries or the permanent secretaries.

Governor Fubara thanked the departing Executive Council members for their service and wished them well in their future pursuits.

On Thursday, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Onwuka Nzeshi, issued a statement disclosing the development.
