Wizkid attacks 2Baba for rating Burna Boy over him on global stage

Nigerian Afrobeat artist Wizkid has criticized his senior colleague 2Baba for placing Burna Boy above him internationally.

During a recent interview with Seun Okinbaloye, 2Baba expressed his views on the widely recognized ‘Big 3’—a designation for Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, who are acclaimed as Nigeria’s leading global music exports.

When asked about the ongoing debate regarding which of the three musicians is the top figure in the industry, 2Baba identified Burna Boy as the number one Nigerian artist “on the global stage.”

Wizkid responded to 2Baba’s opinion by calling him an old man in a Snapchat post.

Wizkid stated, “I’m never letting it slack in 2026.” while advising 2Baba to prioritize reconciling with his family over discussing music.

“At least make peace with your family first before having opinions about music. Old man,” he added.
