EPL: Carragher picks manager he wants to succeed Klopp at Liverpool

Jamie Carragher, a former defender for Liverpool, has selected Ruben Amorim of Sporting CP to replace Jurgen Klopp as manager at Anfield this summer.

A few months earlier, Klopp had declared he would be leaving Liverpool at the end of the current season.

Consequently, several coaches have been linked to take over for the German at the end of the season, including Amorim and Roberto De Zerbi of Brighton.

Because Amorim is a proven winner, Carragher thinks he will be the ideal choice to lead Liverpool after Klopp.

“It looks like he is the favourite right now, I don’t have any inside information, but reading reports that is what it feels like. Looks like he is on for the double this season,” Carragher said (via The Boot Room).

“I think if Liverpool could bring in a title-winner in his last season in his previous job that could be a very good acquisition for Liverpool if it is Mr Amorim. I’m maybe more Amorim than De Zerbi.”
