Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has made it clear that any player who is unhappy at the club is free to depart.
Maresca emphasized that he is only interested in keeping players who are fully committed and content to be part of the team at the west London club.
The Italian manager made this statement while addressing reports linking Noni Madueke with a move to Arsenal.
“Noni [Madueke] has been very important for us,” Maresca told reporters on after Chelsea’s victory against Palmeiras in the Club World Cup in the early hours of Saturday.
The former Leicester City coach added, that “But my message to the players and to the club is that I want just players that are happy to be with us.
“The ones that aren’t happy, they’re free to go.”
Chelsea’s next match is against Fluminense in the Club World Cup tournament in the semi-final on Tuesday.
