Joe Cole, a former Chelsea player, has maintained that Casemiro leaving Manchester United during the January transfer window “makes sense.”
Ruben Amorim, the new manager of Manchester United, does not seem to have Casemiro in his plans for this season.
After leaving Real Madrid in 2022 for £70 million, the Brazilian international had a strong debut at Old Trafford. He had a fantastic rookie season for the Red Devils, scoring seven goals in 51 games.
But since Amorim arrived in November, he has found it difficult to duplicate that performance and has only made four starts across all competitions.
In order to join his old Real Madrid colleague Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League, Casemiro has been linked to a move to Al-Nassr.
“It makes sense,” Cole said regarding rumors of Casemiro’s proposed move from United to Saudi Arabia on Al Arabiya News’ The Dressing Room podcast.
“They’re bringing big, big players over there, and Casemiro is a big, big player. It doesn’t look like he’s part of Amorim’s plans,” he added.
