Sol Campbell, a former defender for Arsenal, has endorsed the Gunners’ chances of defeating Chelsea when they host the Blues in the Premier League on Sunday, March 1, at the Emirates Stadium.

Campbell also predicted that Mikel Arteta’s team would win the Premier League this season.

He spoke following Arsenal’s recent 4-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby.

Currently, Arsenal sits five points clear of Manchester City, who is in second place, in the Premier League standings.

Nonetheless, Pep Guardiola’s team has one outstanding game, having played 27 matches to date.

“A 4-1 win away from home, keep going, keep rocking, and we are going to get there. We are going to do it [win the Premier League title] this year,” Campbell said as quoted by Metro UK.

Arsenal will return to action next weekend as they host Liam Rosenior’s team.

This season, Chelsea was defeated by the Gunners over two legs in the Carabao Cup semi-final.

When questioned about whether Arsenal would triumph over Chelsea once more, Campbell responded: “We have done [beaten] them in the cup, we can beat them again.”
