Paul Merson, a former midfielder for Arsenal, has stated that if the current team defeats Chelsea on Sunday, the Premier League title fight will be virtually over.

The Gunners lead the Blues by six points going into the London Derby.

In their last two games, Mikel Arteta’s team has defeated Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal will move up to the top of the league table by nine points with a victory at Stamford Bridge.

“This is a Super Sunday. Chelsea vs Arsenal is a massive football match,” Merson said on Sky Sports.

“If Arsenal win it, I think it is good night nurse. I think it will be all over.

“They won’t be caught and they’ll just blow everyone away.”
