Former former President Muhammadu Buhari spokesperson Garba Shehu has responded to rumours that the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) had revoked a piece of land that had been assigned to the former President Muhammadu Buhari Foundation.

Wike gave 614 additional plot owners two weeks to make any unpaid bills or risk having their Rights of Occupancy (R-of-O) revoked.
Those affected by the revocations include Speaker Abbas Tajudeen, the Trust Foundation of former President Buhari, and companies such as Julius Berger.

On Wednesday, December 18, Shehu confirmed that the land in question was legally purchased for the foundation by partners and did not personally belong to the former president.

He said:

“While the reasons behind the revocation remain unclear, it might stem from either an error or intentional administrative actions.

“Buhari, as an individual, already owns a plot of land in Abuja, allocated to him before his presidency.

“During his tenure, Buhari declined an additional land offer, stating that priority should be given to those without allocations.”
